SoccerSeveral soccer fields are available at Douglas Walker Park, in varying sizes for different age groups. The fields are just north of the main parking lot and overflow parking area.
Baseball and SoftballAlong the entry drive to the park, you'll find a ball diamond that is open for public use.
PlaygroundsThis park includes two playgrounds near the picnic areas and sports fields.
Open Field for Other SportsIn the southeast corner of the park, you'll find a large open field that is maintained as a flexible space for other sports
Picnics and Group EventsDouglas Walker Park has eight picnic areas and an enclosed shelterhouse that are available for picnics and other group events such as weddings, meetings, reunions and parties. All of these may be reserved for a fee. If picnic areas are not reserved, they are available first-come first-served for no fee.
Trailhead for Kent TrailsKent Trails is a 15-mile trail running from Millennium Park to Byron Center. A connecting route is available at Douglas Walker Park, making the park a good trailhead for Kent Trails adventures. Much of the connection runs along the 76th St corridor. From the trailhead to the junction with Kent Trails is a total distance of nearly 3 miles.
HorseshoesA horseshoe court is available on the west side of the creek near the guardrail bridge.
